We are constantly reviewing what we are able to safely offer while ensuring we comply with government guidelines and we can now announce the next steps in opening up our activities.

Our Covid-Compatible Pay & Play has been very popular and we have been able to open up a few extra times for the most popular activities. As we are now able to have more flexibility with unfurloughing team members, we are looking at how that allows us to open up more options.

Thank you for all the support and positive feedback on the Pay & Play options we have been able to introduce. Our aim is to continue to open up more options and from Thursday 9th July, we will be adding Thursdays to our Pay & Play day options, meaning you can book your Canoe, Kayak, SUP or Launch times on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Many of our courses present challenging problems when complying with government rules about distancing and hygiene. We also have the issue of distinctly less staff than normal at this time of year.

We will therefore be focusing our energies on core popular courses such and Sailing and Discovery Club, with adjustments made to maximum numbers. Courses will operate on a 1:5 instructor ratio, as opposed to 1:6 for sailing and 1:10 for Discovery Club. We are also adding a modified Family Discovery Day, bookable by a single family unit to experience a range of activities with a dedicated instructor for the day. Bookable activities will show availability on the website. If no availability is shown, it is either full or we have not been able to release that activity at this time.

We will limit changing room and toilet facility use to courses only and have specific additional hygiene and access control in place to manage this.

If you have an existing course booking with us, you can assume it is going ahead unless you hear otherwise. If it is necessary for us to cancel any course, we will refund you in full.

We made the decision to cancel all Residential School bookings at the start of June and for the rest of the summer season, in order to give certainty to those that have made bookings.

At this time, we have cancelled all school and corporate bookings up to the end of August and if you have not already been contacted, you will be shortly.

These decisions are made as we are unable to deliver the activities, whilst ensuring distancing and maximum group sizes that comply with government rules about mixing between different housholds.

To ensure that we minimise people in the office and due to our lower than usual number of staff, reception will remain closed and telephone lines unmanned.
