Why and How we do what we do

We have an extensive amount of experience supporting college courses, whether that be the Diploma in Outdoor Adventure Level 2 – Extended, or the Uniformed Public Services course.

We can offer your students the opportunity to work towards the qualifications required to become outdoor instructor ranging from paddling (canoeing and kayaking) awards , Foundation Safety and Rescue Training, Royal Yachting Association sailing awards and Seamanship skills, Start and Intermediate Windsurfing and BSUPA Stand Up Paddleboarding Level 1 and 2, each of which additionally help to develop the students soft skills such as:-

  • Environmental awareness and empathy
  • Self-confidence and independence
  • Teamwork and cooperation
  • Resourcefulness and initiative
  • Determination in the face of adversity
  • Leadership skills

The combination of the hard and soft skills will give the student an all round personal development package to be an excellent outdoor instructor.

start & end the year right

If you are looking for team building at the beginning of the college term, or to finish a good year, we can offer away days which can support large numbers of students rafting or having a go at water sports or dry land activities.

Or even take on our Borrowers Challenge or Catapult challenge.

These simple one off days are a very good opportunity to gel the students together at the beginning of a new experience coming from school or have fun end to a rewarding year.
