Your Adventure Starts Here...

We're all about reconnecting people with the outdoors, themselves and each other.

As a Royal Yachting Association and British Canoeing training centre South Cerney Outdoor offers excellent facilities and resources by a 47-acre lake of crystal clear water and the River Churn. The area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and one of significant beauty, making South Cerney Outdoor uniquely positioned among outdoor training and adventure centres in Gloucestershire.

Licensed by AALS, the Adventurous Activities Licensing Service, all staff are highly qualified and experienced instructors in RYA Sailing and Windsurfing and/or British Canoeing and Kayak paddling.

We also offer so many other things to do in the Cotswolds, and you can choose from a range of archery, tunnelling, team building, orienteering and bushcraft experiences for individuals, groups, schools, colleges and corporate organisations. You will find a visit to our outdoor team building centre in Gloucestershire's glorious Cotswold countryside will be a memorable experience.

As one of the oldest and deepest lakes in the Cotswold Water Park, we have so much to offer the whole family and community, from Spectators, Leisure, Skills, Qualifications, Volunteering and Career opportunities.

We will always make sure that you are safe, but what you will notice most is the fun, friendly, exciting and welcoming atmosphere. You are not just another customer or group to us... You are like-minded friends who we want to help enjoy the adventure with us.

South Cerney Outdoor

South Cerney Outdoor is an Employee Owned Enterprise, operated by South Cerney Outdoor Limited,  where all the staff are co-owners of the business.

In May 2018, Prospects Services, who have operated the centre since September 2012, decided to sell South Cerney Outdoor to streamline their business operations. The senior team at South Cerney Outdoor were able to secure the funds to acquire and develop the business through Capital For Colleagues, an investment fund specialising in funding employee owned businesses.

The management team at South Cerney Outdoor are developing exciting plans to further enhance the offering and activities at the centre.
