Sailing - 8+ Years

Learn to sail and develop your skills with this range of courses.



COVID-19 Control Measures in place

    • A maximum of 6 people will be in each instructed group
    • Group start times will be staggered to minimise cross over
    • Changing room and toilet access is limited to day course customers only
    • Additional hygiene measures are in place in all areas
    • Check in is outside reception
    • Lunch will be outside where possible, or groups of 6 inside in bad weather
    • All equipment is treated with antiviral cleanser after use

SAILING TASTER EXPERIENCE - £30

3 Hours 10:00am - 1:00pm

This session will introduce you to sailing in our very stable boat called the Funboat, designed for beginners.

This will enable to you to return for a pay and play session and take out your very own Funboat to enjoy the lake at your leisure.

Introduction to RYA Sailing Stage 1 - £130

2 consecutive days 10:00am - 4:30pm or 10:15am - 4:45pm

In a friendly atmosphere learn the basics of sailing and progress to club entry level. For beginners to learn the basic skills of sailing a dinghy. Including how to rig, tie useful knots, launch, land and sail safely around a simple course. Log book included.

This can lead to the RYA Stage 1 Award.

RYA Sailing Stage 2 - £130

2 consecutive days 10:00am - 4:30pm or 10:15am - 4:45pm

Up your level of ability on this course and learn a range of skills to help you become a confident sailor. You will be sailing up and down wind, tacking and gybing.

This can lead to the RYA Stage 2 Award

rya sailing stage 3 - £195

3 consecutive days 10:00am - 4:30pm or 10:15am - 4:45pm

This course will improve your sailing while introducing you to more advanced techniques such as using spinnakers and a harness.

This can lead to the RYA Stage 3 Award

SAILING SKILLS PRACTICE SESSION - £30

3 Hours 10:00am - 1:00pm or 2:00pm - 5:00pm

For anyone who has completed a Stage1/Level 1 qualification or above to practice skills or work on skills that need signing off to complete a qualification.
