Things to do in the Cotswold Water Park

Set across the countryside of Wiltshire, Gloucester and West Oxfordshire, the Cotswold Water Park has more than 150 lakes and stretches over 40 square miles. This beautiful area is protected by the Cotswold Water Park Trust, which manages the region and ensures it is maintained and not encroached or built upon.

Within this beautiful landscape, the Cotswold Water Park holds a diverse and interesting array of wildlife, from the elusive otter to the grand Grey Herron. With the Cotswold Water Park Trust ensuring this district is protected, there is plenty to explore and enjoy when visiting such a location.

At South Cerney we offer a range of water based and land based activities that make the most of the beautiful surroundings on offer here in the Cotswold area. Our water based activities can be done alone, or as groups, with many corporate events and social parties choosing to come here to bond, explore and enjoy the surroundings.

Team Based Activities:

If you’re looking to get a group together, whether it be for a corporate team building day out, or a fun weekend away, we offer a range of water based sports and activities get involved with.

From our canoeing lessons, to our kayaking excursions out on the water, you’re sure to find something everyone will enjoy. Our sailing boats in particular can be ideal for a team challenge, building bonds between participants while surrounded by nature. We also offer snorkeling as an activity for those who want to explore to depths of the lakes in the Cotswold Water Park.

Independent Activities:

Although working together is fun, we understand that sometimes getting away and surrounding yourself with nothing but nature for the afternoon can be invigorating in its own right.

At South Cerney we offer Stand up Paddle Boarding (SUP) which we also like to integrate into our yoga sessions. In fact, our SUP yoga classes manage to combine the joys of yoga, tranquility and nature with physical endurance out on the water.

The Cotswold Water Park is also the perfect place to windsurf, alone or in groups. This invigorating activity requires the ability to have patience and determination, making it the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon.

The Cotswold Water Park is set in a beautiful location, and we want to make it as enjoyable as possible to everyone here.
