Why and How we do what we do


Check our website for information on upcoming CIA courses and book online through the link provided, or by contacting us on 01285 860 388.

You will need to complete an online or physical booking form and return it to us at the address on the form. We will require a signature or digital acceptance of the terms and conditions.




All individual courses and activities are inclusive of VAT. Places may only be secured by submitting a completed booking form and payment in full at the time of booking.

Cancellation by the client

Cancellations can be made by telephone but must be confirmed in writing.

Cancellation charges:

up to 1 week after commencement of course:

Full or Modular CIA Programme: £495 deposit

Between 1 week and 6 weeks of commencement of course:

Full CIA Programme: Weekly pro-rata at £600 p/w

Modular CIA Programme = Weekly pro-rata at £250 p/w

After 6 weeks: Full course fee

Cancellation by SCO

Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that the course runs; South Cerney Outdoor will notify customers as soon as possible if the course or any part of the course, has to be cancelled due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances. If this is the case, either alternative training will be arranged, or an appropriate level of refund will be made by cheque to the value of the cancelled activity.

Any student asked to leave the course by South Cerney Outdoor will be refunded on a marginal basis.


SCO can only be held liable for damage, loss or injury if it can be shown that an employee, servant or agent has been negligent by act or omissions and that this was the cause of damage, loss or injury.

Personal Property

SCO is not liable for loss or damage to personal possessions, clothing and effects.


If you have a complaint it is important that you inform us immediately and we will try and put things right. If your complaint cannot be resolved you should report this to your mentor or the course leader, who will follow up your complaint in accordance with our Complaints Procedure.

If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, please contact the Commercial Manager.


All participants must be fit to take part in the activities booked. SCO should be informed of any medical treatment being received, any learning difficulty or whether participants are affected by epilepsy, angina, asthma, giddy spells or any heart condition.

Image Policy

SCO takes images of the activities and participants for use in promotional materials, websites and social media for SCO and Prospects. Personal details or names (first and surname) or personal contact details of any individual are not used. If we wish to include any individual’s details, for example, the name of a competition prize winner we will obtain specific consent in advance.

If you do not wish your/your child’s image to be used please contact us before the start of the booking.


Conduct that is considered by the Duty Manager to be disruptive, contrary to good order or prejudicial to the interest of safety of SCO, its staff or visitors, shall entitle the Duty Manager to remove the person from the activity, without any liability on SCO or to make a refund.
