August has crept up on us. I seem to have lost the first half of this year... But here it is and here's what you can expect from us in the summer hols.
PAY & PLAY
We released our Pay & Play bookings for August a few days ago and they are filling up fast .
August is our busiest time and you generally need to be looking to book 4-5 days in advance or longer if great weather is expected.
Our Pay & Play availability is released each month for the following month, so you'll be able to book August's activities from Friday 20th August.
COURSES
All our summer courses are now fully booked up and we don't have any capacity to add any more.
Our holiday Discovery Club for ages 8-13 year olds has a couple places remaining on 30th August if you want to get the youngsters engaged in something fun before they head back to school.
If you're an adult that has completed a Level 1 sailing course with us, check out the next step of a Level 2 we have scheduled in for 21st-22nd August.
We will be scheduling our October half term programme in the coming weeks and will let you know when they are available to book through our social media channels
TASTER EXPERIENCES
Most tasters have been snapped up and are full for August, but if you fancy trying kayaking, Paddleboarding, sailing or windsurfing under the guidance of an instructor, we have just introduced a load of options at weekends in September for you.
LAUNCH MEMBERSHIPS
We discontinue our Day Launch option in the summer due to the challenges of managing it and accommodating the demand, but if you have your own kayak, canoe or paddleboard and would like to use it at the lake, take a look at our Launch Membership options.
They have to be of a minimum safety and quality standard, and you must be fully self-sufficient with your own paddles and buoyancy aids or leashes.
We have also just added a One Month Family Launch Membership, suitable for a family of 2 adults and up to 3 under 16's to launch their own boat or board for the month. Check out the details on the link below...
THE LODGE
Our Lodge cafe is open 9:30am - 4:30pm 7 days a week, with late opening till 7:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer.
We have some exciting plans afoot for the later part of this year and a teaser taster of something special we have in store for 2022.
PARKING AND START TIMES
Our car park can be a major pinch point, so when planning your visit, if you can walk or cycle, please do so. If you need to drive, please allow extra time, especially at weekends, before your booking in order to find parking and get checked in.
The car park can fill up very quickly, so please be considerate of others and make sure you park sensibly (it happens less than you'd think) and if the car park is full, there is nearby parking at The Gateway Centre and off Station Road, less than 5 minutes walk from us.
