Windsurfing is an all body activity and is an excellent way to introduce young people to the water. From appreciation of how a board works and is manoeuvred the individual learns to use the sail to apply force and power to make the board move and steer. The relationship between the natural forces and the individual is immediate and intense.
Windsurfing on a wide, stable board, they will learn skills to rig the equipment, sail and turn and return safely. An excellent activity for confidence, balance, coordination and personal challenges.
Windsurfing is a sport that requires the ability to have patience and determination to keep going and to see the improvement and helps with not giving up at the first hurdle.
We have experienced instructors and a variety of boards and sails to give you the taste of being close to the water and wind as possible. Whilst learning how to cope with the trials and tribulations of learning a new sport, that always looks fantastic by the professionals!
The sport is great for scout/guide/cadet groups who want to challenge their participants with something different, whilst getting them to encourage others, work together whilst beating the challenge of being in the water more than on the board.
