OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Taking part in any of the activities
at SCOEC will be fun and enjoyable. If you are a complete
beginner, don't worry, your instructor will tell you all
you need to know, be able to answer any questions and assist
whenever necessary. Learning an activity requires you to
develop a combination of sports skills and personal skills
of working in a team, being independent, making decisions,
solving problems and communication. As you get older you
can continue to participate in watersports by joining a
club or by going on an activity holiday. The other skills
that you develop will be essential as you get older, when
you leave school and go into further education or start
work.

OUR MISSION

As a Gloucestershire Youth Service centre
our mission is to provide high quality Outdoor Education
that is educational, empowering, participative and equable.

REDUCED COSTS

As you get older there are more demands
on your money so, to encourage your continued participation
the costs are reduced if you are over 14 years old, have
completed a course at SCOEC and live in Gloucestershire.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS

An additional discount of 20% off courses
and sessions is available if you receive free school meals.

ACCESS FOR ALL

SCOEC encourages participation
by everyone in watersports. If you have any special needs
please contact us to see how we can adapt our activities
to allow your full participation. The centre has modified
and adapted facilities and equipment for people with special
needs.
