HOW TO BOOK
Check our website www.southcerneyoutdoor.co.uk for information on courses, activities and availabilities. Either call SCO or complete the online booking and secure payment to reserve your place.
Group Bookings should contact our Bookings Manager to discuss requirements and complete a booking form once a schedule of activities has been agreed.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
Payments
All individual courses and activities are inclusive of VAT. Group Bookings are quoted exclusive of VAT, with VAT being chargeable at the current rate. Bookings may only be secured by completing the online booking process or submitting a completed Group Booking Form.
Payment in full is required at the time of booking any public activities or courses. Group Bookings will be invoiced once a final schedule has been agreed.
Cancellation by the client
Cancellations can be made by telephone but must be confirmed in writing.
Cancellation charges:
6 weeks or more before the commencement date 10%.
Within 3 to 6 weeks of the commencement date 50%.
Under 3 weeks of the commencement date charged in full.
Cancellation by SCO
Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that the course or activity runs, SCO will notify customers as soon as possible if the booking has to be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. If this is the case, a full refund by cheque or card will be made or an alternative date will be offered.
Group Booking Amendments
Final confirmation of numbers and activities must be confirmed no later than 3 weeks in advance of the booking date. Amendments within 3 weeks of the booking will be chargeable at the full rate as per the agreed schedule and booking form details. Increases in numbers cannot be guaranteed after this date.
Liabilities
SCO can only be held liable for damage, loss or injury if it can be shown that an employee, servant or agent has been negligent by act or omissions and that this was the cause of damage, loss or injury.
Personal Property
SCO is not liable for loss or damage to personal possessions, clothing and effects.
Complaints
If you have a complaint it is important that you inform us immediately and we will try and put things right. If your complaint cannot be resolved you should report this to the Duty Manager who will follow up your complaint in accordance with our Complaints Procedure.
Health
All participants must be fit to take part in the activities booked. SCO should be informed of any medical treatment being received, any learning difficulty or whether participants are affected by epilepsy, angina, asthma, giddy spells or any heart condition.

Swimming
If you need advice about the level of swimming ability required please contact us before booking.
Image Policy
SCO takes images of the activities and participants for use in promotional materials, websites and social media for SCO and Prospects. Personal details or names (first and surname) or personal contact details of any individual are not used. If we wish to include any individual’s details, for example, the name of a competition prize winner we will obtain specific consent in advance.
If you do not wish your/your child’s image to be used please contact us before the start of the booking.
Conduct
Conduct that is considered by the Duty Manager to be disruptive, contrary to good order or prejudicial to the interest of safety of SCO, its staff or visitors, shall entitle the Duty Manager to remove the person from the activity, without any liability on SCO or to make a refund.
